Virginia is proposing new congressional district maps through a mid-decade redistricting process. A referendum on April 21, 2026 will let voters decide whether to adopt the new maps before the November midterm elections.

Virginia District 1

Tidewater & Northern Neck

Virginia's 1st Congressional District covers the Northern Neck, Middle Peninsula, and parts of the Fredericksburg region along the Chesapeake Bay.

Current rep: Rob Wittman (R)

Virginia District 2

Proposed lean: Tossup

Hampton Roads

The 2nd District covers Virginia Beach and Eastern Shore communities — a historically Republican Hampton Roads seat with a large military population.

Virginia District 3

Hampton Roads
